Paicu & Sons Consulting is a Romanian energy consultancy company that was founded by Bogdan Paicu in 1998. Our work is driven by a deep understanding of both the local and regional economies and of our clients’ challenges and needs.

At the beginning we focused on offering professional commercial services for the energy trading companies entering into the Romanian market. Throughout this period, we widened a solid know-how in crude and fuel oil imports, but also in gasoline and diesel exports. As a result, Paicu & Sons Consulting settled quickly at the heart of the local energy flows in order to help meeting the energy needs of the power sector.

Additionally, our expertise has expanded to provide solutions addressing the challenges that emerged at the beginning of the millennium following the liberalisation of the Romanian energy market. Within this context, our clients have been among the first companies to initiate and develop cross border energy trading.

Our range of services have further consolidated by strengthening the relationships with our existing partners through widening the scope of our cooperation: from oil trading we broadened our advisory services to coal, power and natural gas transactions.

Moreover, having a constant interest in understanding the evolutions and changes in the energy mix we have extended our expertise in areas that are nowadays strongly impacting the local and European energy markets. We offer to our clients specific tailored carbon emission management solutions and advise on hedging strategies for developers of renewable energy projects.

In the current ever-changing glocal economical context, our clients’ needs are constantly changing, so that at Paicu & Sons Consulting we continually seek new and better ways to serve them. And no matter the challenge, we focus on offering practical cost effective solutions that generate short, medium and long-term results.
